Last week, before the dramas, I was playing around with my old SiPix Stylecam Deluxe (awful, but cheap digicam).

I removed this pesky blighter:

and made the fields look all icy & funny:

The quality’s not very good, but neither is the camera. Fun to play with anyhow.

Haven’t updated for a while, that’s because I have no life. Fact.

Last night we went up to The Criterion Theatre in London to see The Reduced Shakespeare Company do The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare(Abridged). It was fantastic, although I was petrified about being in the front few rows. Too much audience interaction for me!

On a side note I got my gallery up and running. Now I just need some good photos on there!

I figured having this lovely new camera, I really should take some pics with it. Sooo, then hit upon the whole running out of web-space on my other site, I could just use DeviantArt, but nah, I want to own this thing.

After a chat with Yo-DUH_87 on #bit-tech, I’ve registered the domain and he will host it. Little pimp for him: OffBeat Hosting. Will make a really nice change to have hosting with someone that I actually know and can get hold of if needs be.

Well woo yay my camera arrived & it’s absolutely fan-fuckin’-tastic! Mmmmmmm 300D EOS Canon goooodness. Going out at the weekend to take many pics of trees & squiggles & stuff. Oooh gettin’ down with nature, err… or similar.

But Boo Hiss at work. They are trying to make me go to Newcastle on Wednesday. Not only is it short notice, but I’m like one of the only people on my team that doesn’t drive, and I’m certainly the only one that doesn’t fly (in planes before you lot start). So, instead of someone else having a fairly pain-free visit, I will be stuck on a train for 10 hours… I’ll be there for a MAXIMUM of 2 hours, but will probably watch someone click “Yes” a few times and that will be it. 10 hours… on a train… I’m not even sure my old iPod battery lasts that long! Looks like I’ll be taking the GBA, the PowerBook, the iPod, the NetMD, the kitchen sink… Hmmm if I take the PowerBook, I can’t really take either of work’s laptops…. what a shame! :oD

The camera is at my house… signed for… waiting…. :oD

Pleased I got in before 08:00 today, I may be able to get someone else to cover from 16:00-17:00. Damn being Call Manager! :o?

Well my camera still hasn’t been shipped. :o(

However, today I did manage to blag myself a Canon 80-200mm lens for £45 :o) It’s second-hand and a bit old, but it’ll certainly do the job until I’ve saved up for a decent 300mm plus one. :oD Played with it on my Canon EOS 600 and it works pretty well, not overly noisy either.

Now I just have to find Alex & see what kind of deals he can do on the Crumpler bags :o)

Well, not so much naughty as silly.

Bought myself a Canon EOS 300D last night. The one with the lens kit. Hopefully Canon will give me my £100 cashback. The EF lenses from my Canon EOS 600 should fit it too - yay! :oD

As soon as I get it I’m going back down the woods to find the Honey Buzzard and take decent pictures of him/her. I do love my Canon A70, but it’s total crap at long distance shots. Which is pretty much all I ever want to take (no, I’m not a stalker, I just have lots of cool wildlife near me… although not near enough).

I’m not sure I can really afford it, but figure I have a credit card… so… meh. :oD
