Weekend Randomizer
This weekend has to be one of the most random in a long while. Had a feeling Friday might be as dead as last week so prepared for the worst. Didn’t really happen like that!!

For the first night in a few weeks I have a had a good night out. Muchos thanks to Kev, Nik, Matt & Mikey. I managed to get rather wasted and not think about all the shitty stuff for an entire evening.
I can also now remember the benefits of being out from 18:00
AND I managed to not be a freak magnet. Woo!
Now I am not tired in the slightest, so will be watching lots of Mitchell & Webb and talking on IRC. <3 geekiness.
2005 was horrendous, like being 23 all over again.
2006 has to be better. I plan to get pets, and go out less, and slowly re-hermitise as people just aren’t worth the grief. I’ll see if I can get any work to do with animal shelters, etc. I’m going to start practising my icelandic with the guy from ReykjavÃk on IRC too. If it gets good enough I may actually go there next year.

The Rising has re-opened. The people do look a little chavvy, but have said they’re not going to change the music/style too much. It’s already improved though. I walked in to the overpowering smell of bleach. The toilets are clean, the floors are sparkling and you don’t get stuck to the tables now if you touch them. Tony is DJing Fridays again & NYE so that’s where I’ll be (as I’m staying over at Tony’s & Claire’s).
My fucking neck is still killing me from sleeping awkwardly last night. This sux. I saw The Producers tonight. Have to say I prefer the original and the stage show. It’s OK, but the jokes were aimed at little kiddies (12A) and it was a bit boring.
Still no flippin’ knife *grrrr* Not happy with those people, not happy at all.
I have no energy, it’s like it’s all been sapped away.
It seems Konfabulator has been scooped up by Yahoo!… great news for them, I hope it keeps on being the best widgetything out there.
*yawn*
When I get a free moment I really must sort out my website and get my Back Pack It stuff on there. <3 Back Pack It right now. It’s keeping everything sorted for little Virgo me: Wish Lists, Present Ideas, To Do Lists, Reminders…
I also want to try and work on something that can have my IRC bot keeping track of problem users. Ideally I’d like the other ops to be able to mark certain users down with a sort of yellow/red card system, add them to a database people can check, and where possible put a symbol in front of their nick in their client - easily done on ViRC). So if someone steps out of line (but isn’t bad enough for a full ban) it’s easy to see if they’re a problem user. This might need to go on hold until I can resurrect my download PC and stick something decent on it (ie not Windows). I expect I won’t ever get around to it though…
Busy weekend. Not because I did anything, but because all my toys arrived at once!!!
Friday, the Graphite Nintendo DS turned up, so mucho Zoo Keeper playing from then.
The Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw controller for Chris’ GameCube arrived so the rest of the weekend was spent playing that.
Then I had a migraine yesterday & took the day off work, only for my PSP with WipeOut Pure to arrive that afternoon. I’ve already had it on IRC & checking out RSS feeds via my blog-lines & del.icio.us feeds.

Pictures will follow… believe me!
My Shell Provider has now admitted defeat. They can no longer afford the hardware to keep the server running. This means I’m a bit screwed.
So, if you know of a good shell provider that will allow me to run 2 background processes (pref. BNC [muh] and EggDrop) in the UK, please leave a comment.
Thanks!
Put a SocNet bot in an IRC channel and watch how people start using each other’s names all the time… it’s like being on Supermarket Sweep!
It looks like I’ll have a new site to play with soon :oD
I figured having this lovely new camera, I really should take some pics with it. Sooo, then hit upon the whole running out of web-space on my other site, I could just use DeviantArt, but nah, I want to own this thing.
After a chat with Yo-DUH_87 on #bit-tech, I’ve registered the domain and he will host it. Little pimp for him: OffBeat Hosting. Will make a really nice change to have hosting with someone that I actually know and can get hold of if needs be.
It works! Yayness!! :oD
Soooo, I now have my old Shuttle SpaceWalker sat in my living room giving off a lovely blue glow, downloading lots of TV proggies I can’t watch cos I only have 4 channels with awful reception. God bless UK Nova :o)
I can keep an eye on it through an IRC Bot during the day, and VNC on with my laptop/PC when I’m at home. I have a web-page config thing too, must sort that out with No-IP, so I can view it from work. This rawx. \o/
p.s. Before anyone goes off on an anti-pirating one. I only use UK Nova. So I only download TV programs/Radio Shows that aren’t available to buy. I see it like borrowing a Recording off a mate that has better TV reception than me. So ner ;op
… not always a good thing.
Especially when Sky are really bloody inconsiderate and launch a TV show with the same name as your IRC nick. *Grrrrr* @ Sky.
My name is Jo, but on-line almost everyone knows me as Hex.
I'm addicted to the internet and Jack Daniels.
Free WiFi in bars is going to kill me.
