Chaos-23

2005 was horrendous, like being 23 all over again.

2006 has to be better. I plan to get pets, and go out less, and slowly re-hermitise as people just aren’t worth the grief. I’ll see if I can get any work to do with animal shelters, etc. I’m going to start practising my icelandic with the guy from Reykjavík on IRC too. If it gets good enough I may actually go there next year.

The Rising has re-opened. The people do look a little chavvy, but have said they’re not going to change the music/style too much. It’s already improved though. I walked in to the overpowering smell of bleach. The toilets are clean, the floors are sparkling and you don’t get stuck to the tables now if you touch them. Tony is DJing Fridays again & NYE so that’s where I’ll be (as I’m staying over at Tony’s & Claire’s).

My fucking neck is still killing me from sleeping awkwardly last night. This sux. I saw The Producers tonight. Have to say I prefer the original and the stage show. It’s OK, but the jokes were aimed at little kiddies (12A) and it was a bit boring.

The locks have been changed, remove the old key from the keyring when you get home. You ditzy cow.

I could see myself getting locked out on Xmas Eve otherwise…

First off, Vicks First Defence doesn’t work. I took it at the very start of the cold and it’s developed into a nasty thing anyway. Makes me wonder what the Vicks stuff was for as it stings like hell, makes me sneeze and tasted foul for hours. :o/ So I am officially a snot monster for Xmas & New Year yet AGAIN. Story of my bloody life :o(

On the other hand, Internet shopping rules! I’ve been so slack this year what with everything that’s been happening *sob* So I only got round to doing my Xmas shopping last Sunday. By yesterday afternoon everything had arrived :oD That rox soooo much. No standing in queues with annoying mothers & children for me.

So I treated myself to buying loads of oils & candles & herby things - rah! Hopefully I’ll get them for next week when I’m off work.

Christmas Shopping is now complete! Looks like I’ve managed to spend almost identical amounts on people without even trying which is ace :oD

I also got all my BTO Bird Counts up to date. Been slacking for almost 2 months with that. :os

‘Now have a nasty sore throat, I think it was from all the rubbish I was burning today. I probably breathed in lots of toxic nasties *cough*

I wonder how many nights I’ll spend out this week… not sure I can cope with the same as last week, but having said that… I do have all of next week off work :oD

I have been an extremely diligent devotee this year.

In September, I called down the wrath of Yog-Sothoth upon josienutter (65 points). Last week, I bombed a cultist gathering (-100 points). When the stars were right, I sacrificed dakari_mane to Cthulhu (500 points). In January, I legally changed my name to Randolph Carter (-40 points). In December, I prepared an ocean voyage to R’lyeh (200 points). In April, I visited my relatives in Innsmouth (100 points).

In short, I have been very good (725 points) and deserve to be promoted to High Priest.

Looks like the smoke’s reached Berkshire. There’s a dull grey film across the sky. Quite mental really, they showed a satellite image and the smoke is covering most of the South East already.
